The 2014 Bandit Run kicked off in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, at the GM Nationals. We spent the first two days, June 20 and 21, in Carlisle.
From Carlisle, we cruised down the east coast. The first official stop was in Chantilly, Virginia. On the way there, participants could stop in Gettysburg, for a tour of the Visitors Center and a self-tour of the Battlefield. Once in Chantilly, runners could attend the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the companion facility to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.
The next two stops were in beach cities. The first is in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The last two days were spent in in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On the way to there, participants are encouraged to attend a car show and have lunch in New Bern, North Carolina. The last two days in Myrtle Beach were spent attending a car show at Legends in Concert at Broadway at the Beach.
This year’s route allowed Runners to really relax and enjoy the beautiful beachfront views and amenities all while getting to show off their cars and spend time with one another. The 2014 Bandit Run is centered around celebrating the fun and friendships made over the past seven years.
